Research shows that recovery from physical injuries happens through healing of injured tissues, restoration of range of motion and resumption of normal activities.  Chiropractic promotes this healing, increases range of motion, relieves pain that you can return to activity and retains healthy movement patterns to prevent re-injury

Chiropractors are specialists in manual adjustment of the vertebrae of the spine and other joints of the body.  Adjustments help relieve pain and restore normal functioning to the spine, joints, and supporting structures of the body, so you can enjoy your everyday activities again as quickly as possible

There are many reasons to seek chiropractic care: accidents, sports injuries, household chores, strains from working long hours, even the stresses of daily living can cause painful joint and spinal problems.  Even if you don’t have painful symptoms, chiropractic care can help you maintain healthy spine and joint functions.  Pain should never become a way of life, especially when there is qualified help available.

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice dating back thousands of years.  It involves inserting very fine needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the nervous system,  improve health and treat illness.

Dry needling is a form of acupuncture that involves inserting the needles into a trigger point in a tight band of muscles.  It is called “dry” needling because there is no solution injected (as opposed with a hypodermic needle used in a flu shot)

In our clinic, both acupuncture and dry needling are used depending on your condition and the desired outcome.  There are very few contra-indications for acupuncture, and every precaution will be taken to ensure you receive the best possible results.

Functional Range Release is an advanced, and comprehensive system of soft tissue assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.  Limitations in a person's range of motion is not in tight muscles, but is due to the central nervous system's control of that muscle.  The principles of FR Release focus on influencing the central nervous system to allow for greater joint range of motion and strength within that expanded range of motion.

This form of soft tissue therapy focuses on the assessment, localization and systematic treatment of soft tissue lesions and adhesions which can develop as a result of injury, repetitive strain and cumulative trauma.  Your body functions as a whole, and we will assess if other areas of the body are contributing to your problem.  This approach will show you how your issues may be inter-related and how to regain control of your body.

Chiropractic care during and after pregnancy can provide safe, effective, and drug-free conservative care to relieve pain and discomfort.  Treatments can alleviate pressure on the joints, muscles and nerves of the spine and pelvis. Studies have shown up to 84% of women report relief of their back pain during pregnancy following chiropractic care.

Chiropractic adjustments help restore normal alignment and motion to joints that have become misaligned or fixated. Gentle stretching can also be used to relieve the muscle tension that often builds up in the muscles of the low back.

Another benefit of chiropractic care during pregnancy is a decrease in labour time. One study has shown women receiving chiropractic care during pregnancy have a 25% reduction in labour time compared to average labour times.

The Webster chiropractic adjustment begins the process of realigning the sacrum, which may relieve the pull that creates the tension in the uterus. Once that tension is removed, your baby may be free to follow its instincts and assume its best possible position for birth. This adjustment involves no external forces on the baby directly, and it is very comfortable and extremely safe.

Chiropractic works to facilitate normal neuro-biomechanical function, and this is therefore advantageous throughout pregnancy. Continued adjustments throughout pregnancy and right up until birth may help create a safer and easier birth for the mother and baby.
